1st HOLY COMMUNION PREPARATION COURSE

1^st HOLY COMMUNION PREPARATION COURSE 2024.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

         We are looking to begin the course of preparation in the parish for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in early 2024. This is a very special time for your child and your family and we see this journey as a partnership between Parents, School and the Church community.

          The course sessions will begin in the New Year, exact details of which will be given to all families in due course. In previous years there have been 11 preparation sessions, which have taken place on Sunday mornings, and also after school on occasion.

          Enrolment is open to all baptised children in year 3 or above; enrolment is open to children in years 4, 5 and 6 as well. Applications are welcome on behalf of children who are not baptised, in that case baptism would form part of the course of preparation. Please contact Fr. Matthew for more info on this and the conditions that apply.

          Parents are asked to fill in the attached enrolment form and return to the email address above or direct to the Presbytery or to the school office by midday on Friday 8^th December 2023. Please note that attendance at Sunday Mass is encouraged and is a essential part of the course. There will be an introductory meeting at 11am on Sunday 10^th December in Church for all enrolled children and their parents, following the 10am Sunday mass.
